The rite of passage

It is matric farewell season again and Stanford Lake College was the first out of the starting blocks with a glamorous event held on the 22nd of September at Fairview Country Lodge. The theme this year was Big in Japan and as the name suggests, it was a very grand affair. Couples arrived in droves with a certain spark in their eyes only a matric pupil will ever truly understand. Teary-eyed parents lined the walkway and watched as their babies readied themselves to leave the roost. The other major high schools in the area followed suit and held their matric farewells on Wednesday and Thursday evening this week. We will post more images of the Stanfordian, Merensky and Ben Vorster matric farewells as they become available.
